CM David Sengeh Updates Pujehun on Development Projects

Chief Minister David Moinina Sengeh recently updated Pujehun District residents on ongoing development projects, emphasizing the government’s commitment to improving local infrastructure despite setbacks. In a statement on June 23, 2024, he acknowledged delays caused by weather and fiscal constraints but provided revised timelines for key projects.

“Hello Pujehun, I wanted to brief you on two critical infrastructures. On the roads, we were hoping to finish this season, but the rains came quickly, and other fiscal challenges made it hard. Here are the new update dates barring any other challenges.”

The pavement project is now expected to be completed by December 2024, with significant progress already made on drainage work. The Pujehun Bridge completion has been pushed to March/April 2025, essential for improving transportation and connectivity.

The Chief Minister also addressed efforts to improve electricity supply, emphasizing the need for a townhall meeting to discuss tariffs and timing. This meeting will allow community members to voice concerns and suggestions.

In conclusion, the Chief Minister reaffirmed the government’s dedication to Pujehun District’s development, urging patience and support. Residents expressed mixed reactions, understanding the challenges but eager for improvements.
