Chief Minister Sengeh Attends 44th Inter-Hall Athletics Meet at Fourah Bay College

On May 18th, 2024, Chief Minister David Moinina Sengeh, accompanied by Minister of Sports Madam Augusta James-Teima, NOC-SL President Prince Vandy Sualley, and Athletics President Martin Momoh Bangura, attended the 44th Annual Inter-Hall Athletics Meet at Fourah Bay College’s Havelock Grounds in Kortright.

Chief Minister Sengeh expressed his gratitude to the organizers for their successful execution of the event, noting the display of sportsmanship and unity among the students. He highlighted the unifying power of sports in fostering national unity and peace, urging all students to embrace these values.

Minister of Sports Madam Augusta James-Teima praised the athletes’ performances and the event’s excellent organization. She emphasized the role of sports in promoting peace and unity, commended the meticulous planning by the organizers, and congratulated the winners. She also thanked the President for her appointment and acknowledged the Chief Minister’s presence.

The Minister reaffirmed her ministry’s commitment to enhancing sports in the country, aiming to maintain a proactive approach in the sector.
