The National Commission for Social Action (NaCSA) recently hosted a World Bank delegation for the Implementation Support Mission (ISM) of the Productive Social Safety Net and Youth Employment (PSSNYE) Project. This mission marks a key phase in evaluating the project’s progress in Sierra Leone.
The mission, led by Abu Kargbo, Senior Social Protection Specialist, and Samik Adhikari, Senior Economist, aims to review implementation, begin the mid-term review, and assess activities on digital payments and food security targeting.
NaCSA Commissioner, Ambassador Ernest Mbaimba Ndomahina, reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to the project’s goals and its alignment with the Feed Salone Agenda. He thanked the World Bank for their continued support.
As a gesture of respect, NaCSA presented a cultural symbol to the visiting World Bank team, celebrating Sierra Leone’s heritage.
Abu Kargbo praised the success of the previous social safety net project, which benefited over 1.5 million people, and commended NaCSA for its collaboration.
The World Bank delegation will be in Sierra Leone from December 3rd to 10th, 2024, to continue reviewing the project’s progress.
