In a show of appreciation and recognition, the station manager of Rise Radio, along with her team, visited Epic Radio today to present a certificate for their victory in the inaugural Rise Radio Inter-Media Football Competition. Held at the SLFA Football Academy in Freetown, the competition brought together media houses across the country, celebrating unity within the media industry.
The event, organized to commemorate Rise Radio’s 2nd anniversary, fostered teamwork and camaraderie among media professionals. Teams from leading media houses, including AYV Media Empire, AfriRadio, and Star TV, competed for the championship title. Epic Radio and AYV Media Empire stood out, advancing to a thrilling final match that ended in a 1-1 draw. Epic Radio emerged victorious with a 4-3 win in a tense penalty shootout.
Today’s certificate presentation not only recognized Epic Radio’s sporting achievement but also highlighted the spirit of healthy competition that the tournament aimed to promote. Rise Radio’s station manager praised the performance of all participating teams and confirmed that the competition will become an annual event to strengthen bonds within the media industry.
