Ambassador Kao Denero Set To Panel in Mano River Music Conference

Award-winning Sierra Leonean rapper Kao Denero, born Amara Dennis Turay, is set to participate in the upcoming Mano River Music Conference (MRMC) in Liberia. Organized by ASAP Africa, the event will be held on December 8th and 9th at the EJS Ministerial Complex in Monrovia. The conference aims to integrate the music, video production, and technology industries across the Mano River Union countries.

The MRMC will promote collaboration and growth among Liberia, Sierra Leone, Guinea, and Cote d’Ivoire. Highlights of the event include:

  • Industry Panels: Experts from the US, Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, and the Mano River Union will discuss best practices in music, video, and tech collaboration, promotion, and monetization.
  • Mano River Union Battle Rap Championship: Rappers from each member country will compete for prizes, including record deals, publishing deals, and production opportunities.
  • Tech Hackathon: Programmers will engage in a 48-hour project for a chance to win cash prizes and other incentives.
  • Monetization Panels: Industry leaders will share strategies on protecting intellectual property and achieving growth in music and viral videos. A tech-focused panel will cover app marketing, securing investment, and building a following.
  • Closing Concert: The conference will conclude with a live performance featuring celebrated artists from the Mano River Union.

Kao Denero, renowned for his socially conscious lyrics and catchy beats, will bring his expertise to the MRMC. His albums, such as “King of Africa” and the recent “Heroes,” delve into themes of identity, African pride, and societal issues. The Mano River Music Conference offers a significant platform for Kao Denero and other participants to exchange knowledge, foster collaboration, and advance the creative industries within the Mano River Union.
