APC Flagbearer Aspirant Sheikh Alhaji Mohamed Omodu Kamara, popularly known as Jagaban, has inspected the ongoing construction of the All People’s Congress (APC) District Party Office along Yardu Road in Gbense Chiefdom, Kono District.
The inspection was conducted on September 20, 2026, as part of Jagaban’s continued engagement with APC structures and grassroots leaders ahead of the 2028 general elections.
During the visit, Jagaban donated 100 solar streetlights, nine motorbikes for Kono Young Congress leaders, 32 fans, five air-conditioning units, a complete public address system, and financial support towards the completion of the district party office.
The donations are intended to support the completion and functionality of the party office and strengthen the activities of APC structures in Kono District.
Speaking during the handover ceremony, former APC Kono District Chairman Raymond Kai Gbekie welcomed Jagaban and described his contribution as significant support to the party’s structures in the district.
Gbekie said APC members in Kono had experienced challenges in securing suitable accommodation for party activities over the years. He said the construction of a standard district office would provide members with a permanent facility for meetings and other party activities.
He also credited Jagaban with supporting the construction and development of APC party offices in other parts of the country.
Gbekie called on APC stakeholders to work together, strengthen party structures and promote unity as the party prepares for the 2028 elections.
Responding, Jagaban said the people of Kono deserved a quality party office capable of accommodating the activities of the district’s APC membership.
He acknowledged the longstanding challenges associated with party office accommodation in the district and said he was committed to ensuring that the Kono APC office becomes one of the best-equipped party offices in Sierra Leone.
Jagaban said his contribution to the Kono office was part of a broader effort to support the development of APC structures across the country.
He also announced plans under the J-Impact Project, which he said would provide support to women through market funds to assist them in sustaining their families.
According to Jagaban, the initiative would also include scholarship opportunities for students and support for farmers in Kono District.
He said the APC belongs to all its members and emphasized that strengthening party structures should involve collective participation from stakeholders and supporters.
Jagaban further called on APC members and citizens to promote love, unity and cooperation, saying such values are important to the development of Sierra Leone.
The Kono visit comes as political parties and aspirants continue preparations and grassroots engagements ahead of the 2028 elections.
