Sierra Leone U-20 Footballers Join CAF Safeguarding Workshop

Three members of Sierra Leone’s U-20 football team attended a one-day safeguarding workshop organized by WAFU Zone A in Monrovia, Liberia, on September 17, 2024. The event, held at the Boulevard Palace Hotel, was part of CAF’s directive during the U-20 AFCON qualifiers.

The SLFA delegation, led by Technical Director Ibrahim Bah, included Shooting Stars captain Momoh I. Kamara and player representative Edward Bello Yillah. The workshop covered key topics such as safeguarding young players, addressing player trafficking, and discussing WAFU’s research on player nutrition.

This initiative emphasizes WAFU’s dedication to ensuring the safety and well-being of young athletes in the region.
