Hezbollah, an Iran-backed militant group, has accused Israel of orchestrating a series of pager detonations across Lebanon, resulting in several deaths and numerous injuries, including Hezbollah members and Tehran’s ambassador. According to the Lebanese health ministry, a child was among the fatalities.

The Israeli military has refrained from commenting on the incident. In response, Hezbollah has vowed retaliation against Israel, with whom it has been engaged in ongoing skirmishes following the October 7 Hamas attack. The recent escalation has displaced tens of thousands of people in northern Israel and southern Lebanon.

The UN has condemned the explosions as “extremely concerning,” highlighting the growing risk of a broader regional conflict. The situation remains tense as both sides continue their exchanges of fire, raising fears of a full-scale war in the already volatile region.
