PRA Chairman Calls for Global Energy Shift

Brima Baluwa Koroma, Executive Chairman of the Petroleum Regulatory Agency (PRA) and National Committee Chair of Sierra Leone, recently called for urgent global energy transformation at the World Petroleum Council (WPC) Executive Committee meeting in Washington, DC. Addressing council members, Mr. Koroma emphasized the need for collaboration, innovation, and strategic foresight to address challenges in the petroleum sector.

Following his speech, Mr. Koroma engaged in productive discussions with key leaders, including Burcu Gunel of WPC and David K. Curtis from the American Petroleum Institute. These talks highlighted mutual cooperation and knowledge sharing for sustainable industry growth.

Joined by Ishmail Koivaya Saffa, PRA’s Head of Logistics, Mr. Koroma reinforced Sierra Leone’s commitment to global energy dialogues. His forward-looking approach, focusing on technology, regulatory enhancements, and clean energy solutions, was well-received and aligned with WPC’s goal for responsible energy policies.

As PRA Executive Chairman, Mr. Koroma continues to advocate for transformative industry practices, underscoring Sierra Leone’s proactive role in global energy sustainability.
