In a bid to tackle youth unemployment, PRT Logistics and Agro Sierra Leone have signed an agreement with the Ministry of Youth Affairs, introducing the “Youth in Commercial Transportation (Kekeh) Loan Project.” This initiative offers accessible loans for young people to purchase Kekehs (three-wheelers) and engage in the transportation sector.

The project aims to empower youth through employment, financial literacy, and business support, aligning with the government’s economic growth agenda. Through favorable loan terms, eligible young entrepreneurs will receive support in building sustainable transportation businesses, enhancing public transit, and fostering self-reliance.

Ambassador Umar Fuad Bawoh, CEO of PRT Logistics, celebrated the partnership, stating, “This project is a transformative platform for young entrepreneurs to thrive in the transportation industry.” Deputy Minister of Youth Affairs Patrick Gibrilla highlighted the project’s broader impact, noting its role in advancing economic freedom and financial independence for Sierra Leone’s youth.

The contract signing, held at the Ministry of Youth Affairs, marks a promising step toward reducing youth unemployment and strengthening Sierra Leone’s economy through youth-driven initiatives.
