King Charles danced with Freddie Tuilagi, the Honorary Consul for Samoa to the UK, at a St. James’s Palace reception celebrating the Commonwealth Diaspora. Tuilagi mentioned, “He loves it. He said he wants to learn the dance.”

The event, hosted by King Charles and Queen Camilla before their upcoming trip to Australia and Samoa, also marked the lead-up to the 2024 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Apia, starting October 21.

Guests included model and singer Grace Jones and England rugby player Joe Cokanasiga. Jones expressed her delight at the venue, stating, “It’s my first time in St. James Palace. It’s beautiful, and I’m happy to see such a great turnout.”

Cokanasiga reflected on the Commonwealth’s impact, saying, “Without the Commonwealth, I wouldn’t be here because my dad wouldn’t have joined the army, and I wouldn’t have moved here. It has definitely given me and many others opportunities.”
