Renowned philanthropic organization, the Kellie Foundation, has launched an extensive program spanning all 16 districts of Sierra Leone, targeting schools with sensitization initiatives.
The program is strategically tailored to address key issues affecting students’ daily lives, including fostering realistic self-expression, combating drug abuse, and mitigating the negative impact of social media.
E Kellie and M Kellie, CEOs of the Kellie Foundation, underscored the pivotal role of school sensitization programs in educating and empowering students to make informed decisions regarding their well-being. By arming students with essential knowledge and skills to navigate these pressing issues, the foundation aims to facilitate their journey toward leading healthy and fulfilling lives.
The CEOs emphasized the significance of realistic self-expression as foundational to personal growth and development. They highlighted the common struggle among students to authentically express themselves and manage their emotions effectively. Thus, the sensitization programs are designed to assist students in recognizing the importance of staying true to themselves and expressing their feelings in a positive and healthy manner.
Moreover, the Kellie Foundation addresses the escalating issue of drug abuse among young people.
