The Electricity Distribution and Supply Authority (EDSA) has announced a major power outage affecting several areas as of September 23, 2024. Early this morning, a loud noise was reported from the 33kV incomer transformer at Wilberforce, causing disruptions along the 33kV distribution line.
The affected areas include parts of Wilberforce, Regent Village, Bathurst, Spur Road, the entire Lumley, Goderich, and the Peninsula.
EDSA management is collaborating with the project line construction team to expedite repairs. They have apologized to affected customers and assured them that efforts are underway to restore power as swiftly as possible. Further updates will be provided as the situation progresses.
