The Sierra Leone National Women’s Football Team has made significant progress in the latest FIFA Women’s football rankings. The team is now ranked 23rd in Africa and 141st in the world. This achievement is largely attributed to the efforts of Thomas Daddy Brima and his executives, who have played a crucial role in the development of women’s football in the country.
This progress can be linked to the consistent organization of the National Women’s League, which has been held for the second consecutive season. The regular competition has provided the team with valuable experience and exposure, contributing to their improved rankings.
Additionally, the U20 Female team has also played a significant role in this achievement. Despite winning one match and losing two in the recent WAFU U20 tournament in Tanzania, their performance was commendable and promising for the future.
In club football, Mogbwemo Queens have emerged as the champions of the Women’s League for the second time in the history of the club. Their success reflects the growing strength and competitiveness of women’s football in Sierra Leone.
