A bus carrying university students in northeastern Egypt crashed, resulting in 12 fatalities and 33 injuries, according to the Health Ministry. The students were returning to their dormitory from classes when the incident occurred.
Ambulances quickly arrived to transport the injured to nearby hospitals; however, the ministry did not provide further details on their conditions. The cause of the crash remains unclear, and the driver has been arrested for investigation.
Khaled Abdel-Ghaffar, Minister of Health, and Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education, have expressed their condolences to the victims’ families.
